Selven Ren is a film and game composer, sound designer, and music producer from Guangdong, China. She is currently based in Baltimore, Maryland, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Music for New Media at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. She recently worked as the sound director and designer for Sail Alone, which was nominated at HiShorts! Film Festival and was selected for the Cannes short film corner.

Ren’s scoring and sound design has been featured in theaters, documentaries and short films recognized by international film festivals across China, the United States, and Europe. She has also accumulated nearly 200,000 streams on Chinese music platforms as a music producer. Her work combines cinematic composition and contemporary sound design to create distinctive, story-driven sonic identities for visual media.
